Hi Jen,
Just wanted to say what a joy it has been having little Charlie around the
house. His temperment is so good and he is playful and lovable. Here are
a couple of cute shots of him that I took recently and you can see how very
handsome he is growing up to be. Someday, I hope to add to my pack with
another one of your sweet little pups. Thank you Jen for all your help
with everything.
(Angel & Sinbad puppy)
Hi jen..
I know it's been a while but finally got some pictures of luke, thought I might send them to you!
There are a few of brody as well!

Hi Jen
We had a great day with our new baby.
I began calling him by his new name...
Diego.
He and the other dogs intereacted abit more today.
I was working in the yard and Diego began "feeling his
oats".
I wish I had a video of him. He ran around the yard.
kicking up his heels and grabbing sticks and just
running around. At the same time I was throwing a
stick for Oliver(the dog you met)...Diego would run
after him when he ran after the stick. The game
slowed down when Oli did his normal jumpy playful
chase behind Diego --he did not realize how fast he
(oli) was running and when he caught Diego and he
(D)tumbled I (probably the wrong thing)yelled at Oli
to be gentle. There game kinda ended...booo. Diego
was more cautious of Oli...but, I am sure he will not
stop trying to interact. I think they'll buds. Pema
is Sidelines kind a gal--watches what's happening
from the corner of the yard. I am cautious about
Diego...and the more I spend time with him I realize
he is very aware of his surroundings/dangers.
I sent a few photos...they'll get better as Diego
gains confidence. When I took photos earlier today he
was mostly hiding below me. I think later in the day
gave me a glimpse at another look at this little guy!
He is soooo cool!
Let me know when the vaccines come in. Also can you
have his pedigree papers.
Thanks,
Take care,
Stacy
PS.My husband is not here part of the week--so I can't
say he got to see Diego's wonderful personality. And
I am now feeling more confident he'll see it soon.
(Faith & Napoleon)

Hi Jen,
I just wanted to thank you SO MUCH for Bryant (His new name is
Porter). I was so surprised by my family and am so thrilled to have him!
He is completely adorable and such a sweet boy! He's obviously been very
loved up until now and will continue to be so.
I'll send on some pictures of him in his new environment when I get a
chance. And I'm sure I'll have some questions in the next couple of weeks,
so you'll be hearing from me again soon. Hope you had a great Easter
weekend!
Lyle
Hi! This is Nina and Bridget Moore the people who bought Sasha. She is about 7 months old and we love her to death. Honestly we can't imagine our lives wiihout her. She is happy and healthy and very much loved. Thank you sooooooooo much for bringing this little joy to our lives.
Sincerly,
The Moore family
Brock, now named Jack, is doing very well. He runs the house now, which was to be expected.
When I brought him home, my wife screamed with joy. I can count on my hands how many times the two of them have been seperated since. The first couple of nights, she was up with him at 2:00 am, without complaint, which speaks volumes. He is still goofy, and fits in perfectly with our goofy family.
We will send you some pictures.
Thanks!
George
P.S. Mike called and wanted to buy Gabe...he works with me. When you have another long hair in a litter, let me know. He was bummed that he didn't get Gabe.
Jen,
I just wanted to take the time to share some pictures
of Jack. He is now the ruler of the house. My
surprise anniversary present for my wife turned out to
be a huge success! From the moment she picked him up,
the two of them are inseparable! He is goofy and
attacks when you least expect it. For my wife he
gives her kisses...for me, bites my nose. He's great
with my other two dogs, and the kids love him to
death.
As he continues to grow, we will continue to keep you
informed. Can you send us his baby book pictures, if
you still have them? Also, can you tell me the name
of his mom?
Thanks again for making our anniversary such a special
one! You're the best!

Hi Jen,
I thought i give you some info about Alvins firs couple of days here with us! Well when we came home the first day he was the one growling at our big dog, lol! Today they had there first day of actually playing wit each other! He warmed up to us already and is exploring the house and yard now! He loves to play with the kids and cuddle with me! Alvin is also an early bird and gets up @ 5:30 in the morning!!! Meet Miley. I wanted to keep this gorgeous little girl but knew she would be way to small, boy was I right! 6 months and 1.8lbs. Look how her adult coat is coming in. Wow! what a change from her puppy coat. Now has the coloring of her momma Honey Ann. I got to puppysit Miley while her momma went to a Birthday Party.
Miley at 12 weeks just stunning!

Hi Jen,
Just wanted you to know this week with Molly has been great, she is 100 % potty trained , came in to my home that way! Thank you!
She slept in my bed the first night and every night since but I could not believe how long she could hold her bladder!! I get up once in the night around 4 am put her on the pee pad and she does her magic, the rest of the day she is on a leash with me by my side whenever I am at home and she just trots along.
Every time I take the dogs out for a pee she always does her stuff outdoors as well even in the snow this morning and it was REALLY cold! She is such a social human! She likes my other dogs but she prefers people! So she take turns sleeping in my bed and my daughters bed. Day times are fun for her she just runs around and play with the other females. I think she thinks my Lucy is your Dawn, I see her wanting to be by her side and runs along side her. When they sleep during the day I see her sleeping along side Lucy.
Anyway just to let you know all that. I will send you pictures and up dates.
Jen….
I hope life is going great for you!
I just wanted to give you an update on our Kodi. He now weighs just under 5 pounds and is almost 6 months old. We have been learning all sorts of tricks like dancing, sitting, laying down, rolling over (almost) and how to come, and leave it. He did really well at puppy school except at play time with the other dogs as he doesn’t really think he is a dog. He thought he should play with the people, not the dogs! He is our darling baby and loves to sleep between us in bed.
Kodi gets along so well with our other dog. Our “wanna be 50 pound lab”, Tabbi is his best buddy and they wrestle and play constantly. During the day, he is also with our daughter’s 2 dogs and the four dogs romp and play and have a blast. Kodi keeps things interesting for them and is certainly the little pest of the group. If the dogs are all laying down snoozing away, Kodi has to make sure he makes the rounds to pester each one of them so they will wake up and play with him. We also have 2 cats running around the house and Kodi loves to tease and chase him. He is so dang fun! If I can’t find Kodi, I just have to find the place in our house where the sun light is coming through a door or window and there he will be soaking up the sun rays. Next to wrestling, sun bathing is his favorite past time. You would think with loving to be warm in the sun he would like to wear clothes. But no, they restrict him and he doesn’t have much interest in wearing them. Heaven forbid for the speed demon to be slowed up. He has an on and off switch – he is either going a zillion miles per hour or sound asleep.
We sure love Kodi and cannot imagine life without him. He is such a joy to us!! Thanks for sharing him with us. I have included some pictures of our spoiled little guy for you to see. He goes everywhere with me. Some of the events he has experienced with me are skiing, running, bike riding, motorcycle riding, movies, shopping, and even eating in a couple of restaurants. I am pretty good at sneaking him in places and he just goes to sleep so it is easy to hide him. He loves to snuggle inside my jackets, but being almost 5 pounds I have had to buy a puppy purse to hide him in.
I have been the hit of the neighborhood with ALL the kids. Everyone wants to come over and play with him and he does quite well with most everyone. I tell everyone, I know he is cute, but he is still a dog. Please let him touch you rather you touching him and this has seemed to help establish good boundaries for the kids. He is the center of attention everywhere we go. I am told at least a dozen times a week he is the cutest dog they have ever seen and where did I get him. We brag you up a ton!!
I could go on and on for hours about him but better end the novel for now. The joke around here is we take more pictures of Kodi than any of our kids or grandkids. He has such an incredible personality! He follows me around everywhere I go and I love him so very much! Life is wonderful!
Lots of love,
Shannon

Hey there,
I was thinking about you and looking at your site. Looks like you have lots of babies. I have attached a few pictures for you to see. Brenna still does not like to be held she gets her loving at night when she sleeps with us. Paige is as lovable as ever and is a great traveling dog.
We miss you at the gym J I hope all is good with you and the family,
Gayle
Hi Jen,
Bridget's visit went well. She weighed in at 1.6lbs, tiny! My vet said despite the loose poopies she is very healthy. She has a strong heart, clear lungs and a beautiful coat. She said that she is not dehydrated but that i should keep an eye out for signs of dehydration. She gave me some medicine for the upset tummy and it seems to be helping. ALso i've been giving her a little pumpkin with her meals. Her poopy sample came back negative for worms so no problems there either.
SHe is such a love! I can't wait for Keith come back from Denmark so that he meet her! She is so much company! My entire days are planned around her and i sneak her into restaurants , grocery store, you name it! She is so well behaved too! She hardly has any mistakes with her potty. If we are playing on the bed and she has to go she stops playing, looks at me and cries. Then i put her down on the ground and she runs as fast as her little legs will carry her and finds her pad. AMAZING! I think my mom is jealous because Simon still isnt that good! HA. I will keep you updated and send some photos soon. Thanks Jen, she is the love of my life now!
Hi Jen,
I just wanted to send you some photos of Bridget! We are having so much fun together! she has me wrapped around her little paw! Thank you so much!
mariellen
p.s. I can only send a few at a time so im going to send you another e-mail with a couple more photos attached.
Cassie had her first visit with the Vet and passed with
flying colors...no parasites.
Found the puppy food but she doesn't like it, she only
wants the Royal Canine (wouldn't you know it after I
drove all over town to find a small bag).
She's sleeping right now on the counter top next to the
computer....what a sweetheart!
Gloria

Hello Jen,
We just wanted to give you an update on our little Amber. She is doing great! We just love her and she is adjusting and fitting in perfectly! She already has her routine set. Especially the bedtime routine. She watches me tuck each of the children in (sits in the doorway of each room) and then she jumps onto Chelsea’s bed and snuggles with her for a short while, then it’s off to Andrew’s bed for a little while, then Ethan’s bed for a while and eventually ends up on ours (usually around 3 in the morning)! I attached a few pictures of her snuggling with Andrew and Ethan- she wakes up every time I try to sneak in to take a picture. The other picture is when we were outside- anytime one of the children sat on the edge of our deck she would walk up and jump up on them for some love, giving them kisses on the nose! That one was taken on the Sunday after we got her- so we pretty much knew she was going to work out. Just like you said- we’d know with in a few days and we did. She is just a love bug! She turned her nose up to the Venison Bison mix of taste of the wild food- I had to mix a small amount of low sodium chicken broth in it to get her to eat it- not her favorite. Thankfully she seems to like the roasted water fowl taste of the wild better. She also does this standing on her hind legs dancing around thing when I am cooking, begging for some scraps. It is sure cute- I don’t think she is aware that I am only giving her pieces of her vitamin! Amber and I also have our little active time in the morning where she is spunky! I toss her little toys and she races around. Then she settles on my lap while I am reading. It’s pretty much a given that if I am sitting she is on my lap- except at night while I do the dishes then my husband gets that privilege- that is their time! If the children are sitting out in the living room she goes and sits on their laps too. She doesn’t leave anyone out either, making sure each child gets their time and kisses too! She is a special girl and definitely is a part of the family now! We are so thankful to have her! Oh and she has been to our vet already. We have her set up for a tooth cleaning, any needed dental work (the doctor found one loose tooth way in the back that was a little irritated), and micro-chipping (those needles are huge!) at the time of her spay. I’ll send you another update soon.
Blessings,
Lori Ann and Amber (the rest of the family too!)
One of our precious adults who has been placed in her forever pet home
Hi Jen, We've been traveling, with Simon of course. California to Colorado and Colorado to Texas. Simon is content to sleep most of the way settled on his blanket between Wayne and I. What a truly unique dog. We also call him Mr. T (terror) because around 6:00pm he gets full of crazy energy chasing the cat , playing fetch and running around the coffee table-there's no stopping him till he's ready for bed-that's around 8:30-just like a toddler. He's so special and we couldn't love him more. He has a unusual way of communicating his needs to us. Something about looking at us and tittling his head and making a small sound. We can immediately tell that he needs something. If I don't get his food fast enough-he sits on the kitchen rug and barks at me,quietly of course. Besides being intelligent, he is also extremely beautiful. I can't tell you how many times people stop us and talk about Simon. He's known around the neighborhood because we walk him. He has that show dog strut-a little man so confident and full of energy. He loves to play fetch playing till exhaustion and then falling asleep on the nearest lap. He also plays with the cat-running in circles with an occasional shake of the head and a bark. Our cat loves him too. He also loves his bones. He chews intently and when I put my face down next to his bone, he gives me a kiss and immediately gets back to bone business. What a love! He gives so much and in return just wants our continual affection . This little one has added so much joy to our lives making every day a great day with Simon. Thanks so much for doing such a great job with your babies and giving us this well adjusted, loving member of our family.
Take care, Lillian and Wayne Olson

Hi Jen -
I've been calling him Ziggy and he responds to that already. He follows me around everywhere.
OMG! I'd forgotten how tiny a 5 month old is. (Ollie was 4 pounds at 17 weeks!) Ziggy is just precious!! That little tongue!! :-P (I'm glad you told me about his tongue or else I would have been worried about him). He leaves a little tiny bit out even when he's happy, it seems. When I took him outside he lifted his tiny leg!!!! LOL! 3/4 of my boys squat. Yoda was 4 when he was neutered, so he lifts his leg. He was so proud of himself that he just pranced around with his tail wagging. He's been giving big kisses :-* and seems to like the other chis. Ziggy growled ( =-O ) at one of the "big"boys who got too nosy. LMAO! :-D This is the cutest little puppy I have ever seen.
I had him outside today and he was hopping around in the grass with Baby Gizzie and Corky. Suddenly there was an explosion of thunder. =-O Poor little Ziggy just melted bc he was so scared. (If I'd known it was coming I'd have kept him inside). The other chis are extremely protective of him. Even the boys.
He's eating, but he's such a tiny boy that he doesn't eat much. He does all of his business outside (but of course I expect accidents). He tried to pick up a chew stick but it was bigger than he is! I had him crated last night and he slept all night. (We were both wiped out). He'll see the Vet a week from Monday. (The Vet's been on vacation for 2 weeks and is booked solid).
I am wondering how your little momma is. Did she have her babies yet?
No worries about Ziggy! I just can't get enough of him. I loved him the moment I saw him. That tongue is just priceless!!!! :-P The friend who drove me to the airport (Bev) thought he is gorgeous. I am so happy you sent him to me. I picked up Pumpkin's ashes on Friday and the pain and sorrow all came flooding back. Ziggy has made me feel happy for the first time since I lost Pumpkin.
Thanks so much for this precious baby. Pictures will follow when he's feeling a little more secure.
Sue

Hi Jen!
I wanted to give you an update on the girls, Mindy ( now 'Jimmy Love) and Bridget ( Now Riley Bug) are wonderful! Keith and I are so happy to have them in our lives. Their huge personalities fill our days with so much joy.
It took Jimmy Love about a week to show her true colors... she is now just as nuts as Riley! I was worried that Riley Bug's constant need to play and run around would annoy Jimmy but they get along famously now. I love watching them race through the house chasing each other and wrestling in their beds! And then when they're all tuckered out they pass out with their little bodies all entwined. (usually very close or on top of me!) Deciding to adopt Jimmy as well was the best decision I've ever made!
Also, they started puppy kindergarten two weeks ago. They are the smallest in the class but Riley walks around like she owns the place. Jimmy is a bit shy but we are working on getting her lovely personality to shine outside the comfort of her home. Both girls are absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for these little angels!
Mariellen
ps The man holding Riley is their proud papa, Keith!

Hey Jen!
Sailor is a GREAT puppy. He fits our lifestyle perfectly! He's so calm...
On our way back he got carsick and was drooling sometimes and he threw up once.
He got kinda dirty, so we rinsed him off and now he's fine.
When we got home, he seemed a bit nervous and scared but now he's used to our house.
He was even wagging his tail!
I'll give you some pics and updates as time goes on.
Thanks for letting us come over to see your dogs. They're all so friendly and nice and my family had a great time.
By the way, thanks for cutting down the price for us!
-Emily
P.S. I was wondering if I could get puppy treats for him to train him...is that okay?
Haha. Yea he is. Today he went to the vet and he is nice and healthy :]
He is getting his 2nd vaccination in 2 weeks, then the vet said we can go to dog stores and take puppy classes.
What kind of human foods can Sailor eat? (especially vegetables???)
I know he can eat boiled chicken and rice, but I'm not sure what else he can eat
Hi Jen!
I'm not sure if you remember me, but it's Emily...the one who bought Sailor from you.
I thought that you would like an update on how Sailor is doing.
First of all, he's doing fine. I just love to have him come sprinting to me every time I come home from school. My whole family always spoils him so he's one happy dog.
He used to always eat the Cesar soft food, but now he's starting to eat his hard food, which is really great.
Whenever I practice violin, it's really funny because he starts howling along with me.
We really like him a lot especially because he's mostly quiet and he's a very nice and friendly dog.
I went to my friends house once with him because I wanted to see how he would react with other dogs, but he seemed very scared...I guess we need to work more on socializing him with other dogs.
We just found out recently that he loves boiled carrots...just thought you wanted to know. haha.
Thats it for now!
-Emily

Hi Jen,
We are loving your girl. She is so bright (a bit scary, actually). Hana has already taught her sit (75%), wait (50%), go get it (90%), drop it (20%), wait (60%), etc. She is completedly paper trained in Hana's bedroom, maybe 70% elsewhere. She stays clean in her crate overnight for 9 hours or so. We are very, very pleased.
We never discussed flea treatment and prevention. We have a friend with a small chi who says her dog went into shock after a flea treatment. We have always given our bid dog garlic and brewer's yeast tabs and used boric acid in the carpet years ago with completed success. This same friend says garlic is toxic to dogs, though I have been unable to verify that. I hate using chemicals and would prefer to avoid that if possible. What do you think?
How are the litter mates doing? How old do Ebony and Gretchen need to be to become Parisians? THat must be quite a trip. Do they share a crate?
Hope you keep in touch. Photos to follow.
Kate
Hi Jen,
We are so happy with your pup. She is incredibly brignt and easy to
train. She has definitely moved in.
Tried the pet nail device we bought and it wil not work on small nails as
there is no way to hold the toe securely against the revolving sanding
drum. I did see one today, though, that looks good and is specifically
for small dogs. Web address is petzoomnailgroom.
More later.
Thanks again,
Kate and Hana

Hey Jen,
My name is Brittany Doyle. My family and I bought a chihuahua from you back in 2005... her name was "Tinkerbell" back in the day but she is now known as Emma. Her parents are Sinbad and Cocoa. We love her so much that we would like to get another one of Cocoa's babies. We were wondering if you had some more information on her newest boys. We would like to place one on hold, but first we would like to know how much they are going to cost and how much they weigh. We did some research and found that girls tend to get along better with boys, but we were wondering if you found this to be true as well. Also, we were wondering how Sinbad is doing and if he is going to have any more puppies in the near future.
Thank you!
Brittany Doyle
P.S. I attached a recent picture of Emma, she is three years old now and so cute!

Hi Jen, Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.We really love Ebony. She is so full of spunk and really fast for her size. We've taken her to the vet and she is very healthy. She weighed in at 1.8 pds! She is eating puppy food now (cesars) and loving it. she didn't have no problem with her new surroundings and Jim loves his little lap dog. You really trained her because she knows where to go and when and listens very good.Everyone who has met her loves her. They all want to dog sit etc,I want to thank you for being such a great breeder.Your time shows what you do with your puppies.I sent some pic's of Ebony and i'll be sending more soon. ThanksAgain, God Bless, Jim and Louise Chambers
and Ebony too!!!!!

Hi Jen,
Did you get my message from Chicago and phone one from here?
Can you release his baby album to us? I will get those photos off to you as
soon as possible.
He is settling in very well and is a real sweetie. Does not understand why
the other two don't just let him have 'their' things and seems puzzled by
the warning signs(growling, bared teeth)....what do you mean guys??
Where in Canada is Ozzy going?
Bettina
Hi Jen,
I will be sending a few more.
He is a clever little fellow and quite athletic-he may want to do agility!
He has also decided we are great and we get fantastic chi kisses.
We are slowly introducing his harness (a "buddy belt") recommended for the
toy breeds so it does not aggravate their trachea/neck. I will include a
photo of him wearing it- really cute!
Bettina

I purchased a short haired mail from you last year. I am wanting to get my Reggie a sibling. Is it best to put a female with my male? I was going to get another male, but a friend of mine said two male chihuahuas together was bad news...My male is fixed, and I would have the female fixed as well. What would you recommend?
Reggie has been a wonderful addition to our family.
Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Jen,
Just thought I would drop you a quick note to say Ozzy is doing great.
As you said he rules the house already. Melissa has taken to sleeping on her bedroom floor so he can sleep with her. He snuggles under the blankets with her - he gives her no choice.
He is eating well and has taken a liking to pears. He has an appointment with our vet next Tuesday to get them acquainted but he saw him the day he arrived as I wanted him to advise me on what dog food to give him that was the same as you sent. I also wanted to know what treat to give him - he said fruits and vegetables, specifically pears.
Melissa bought him all sorts of toys and he has them scattered all over the house - I think he knows where each and every one is hidden. And best of all is he and Jessie get along great, no friction at all. I think Jessie understands that she is much bigger and could hurt Ozzy as he will follow him and come up and sniff him but if Ozzy comes at Jessie on the side she steps away. I think in no time they will be the best of friends.
I took some photo's to send you I just have to locate the cables to to connect my camera to the computer. When I do I will send them down.
Thanks again Jen,
Marilyn

Hi Jen,
Just wanted to let you know that Jack (Gizmo) checked out fine at the vets. They all loved him. He weighted 1.4 lbs. She was a little concerned about his fontanel not closing, but that is common in this breed.
I am afraid we have him spoiled already. The vet said not to let him get too possessive of us or he wont go to other people.
Have a great day!
Melissa
HI Jen,
Attached are a few pictures of Gizmo ( Jack). I have more but couldn't find the file. In the first picture he is wearing a Boyds Bear outfit. the other pictures he is in his playpen.
Thanks again,
Melissa

Hi Jen,
I finally managed to get a few photo's onto the computer to send you.
Marilyn
Jen,
I always enjoy looking at the “past puppies” pages to see if the puppies we met when we came to visit have shown up on the pages and to read the messages. So it’s great to see Ozzy and Gizmo there now! I have sent these photos if you would like to add any.

On my lap in the plane (from Vegas to Toronto). I asked permission to take her out of the carrier which they very happily said yes. She was very much admired. She sure put a smile on many faces.
At customs, where we had to go” for inspection”, we went from one officer to about five around us (all burly men but for one women who asked to take her picture). Again, it was heartwarming to see generally stone-faced serious guys smiling and friendly to boot!!!
What a ray of sunshine! She has some signature moves (which you would know, but new to us); the paw wave as we approach is a favorite. Whether sitting on her butt or on her back; it is a classic.
I would tickle her belly very lightly when she was sleeping (in the pic) and she would stretch her back legs up through her front legs and sigh happily. I think it worked very well that we had her from Saturday until we left Tuesday. It gave her a chance to get to know us before flying and meeting the boys on Wednesday. We then had Tuesday night at home with her before I picked up the guys.
She has already settled right in.
I will send more photos as soon as I can. Coral Velvet sends both you & Ashley big kisses and special hugs!!

Hi Jen,
We are having so much fun with Dakota. It took him about a day and a half to adopt us LOL. We were thinking we want to get another one. Has Misty had the pups yet? We want another male short coat. Rick

Hey Jen,
I just wanted to let you know Rascal (Jackson) is doing great today. He is really coming around. He is getting along beautifully with the other dogs and has such a great personality. I just love him so much. He is the cutest sweetest baby in the world!
His vet visit went very good. His fecal will be back tomorrow but I'm sure that will be fine. He weighs a whopping 2 pounds 14 ounces! haha. I am hoping he will be closer to 6 pounds full grown. I love having a small puppy but I am a nervous wreck with him this small and can't wait for him to grow a little! The vet said he was totally healthy. He said he could only feel one of his testicles today. He seems to think that the other one is there and he just couldn't find it because Rascal is so small and also because he is a little bit cubby! haha.
Anyway, he is doing great. I am so happy. My boyfriend is going to be home with him tomorrow but I am still going to be so sad leaving him in the morning.
Thank you so much for our great, perfect little boy! Leslie

Jen,
Here's Coral relaxing in Vegas. Winning fans wherever she goes.

Dear Jen,
Attached is a picture of Nano (formerly Lila.) She is doing great! She is now about 18 weeks old and is turning into a wonderful dog with lots of personality and a great temperament. She is playful, lively, but still snugly and sweet. She's about 3.5 lbs now and totally healthy. I checked in on Samson (formerly Piper) and he is doing well too. Still a very tiny guy, but doing just fine making his way in the world.
I am on the fence about adopting another puppy. I'm very tempted to get one from Destiny and Taz's upcoming litter, if they have any short coat merles. If I put myself on the waiting list, is that a definite commitment? I would like to be first in line to get a short coat merle, male preferred, if there are any, but I am still thinking through the decision.
Tell me if you think I belong on the waiting list, at my current level of indecision!
All of that being said, I think Nano would really love a buddy and I would love to have a second baby. Just like to take my time with huge decisions like this.
Let me know what you think!
I hope you are having a good holiday.
Best,
Katie

Hi Jen. We finally got some pictures of Logan and wanted to share with you. he has been such a great dog and we do or best to spoil him rotten! We don't even remember what our lives were like before we adopted him. He has been healthy and we got him neutered in November. He has such a great personality and is such a playful little dog. He and his brother cat, Rabbit are best buddies now. When we are ready to get another puppy you will be hearing from us! Thank you so much for breeding such wonderful dogs.

WARNING
Meet Teddy, he was killed after a deer tried protecting her baby. Teddy was just about 3lbs which is very tiny to go up against a deer. Please watch your babies closely, all sorts of wild animals can and will kill your dogs.

Hi Jen,
I just wanted to send you a quick e-mail and let you know Rascal, "Jackson", is doing great. He is such a sweetheart. He loves to play but also sleeps a lot which fits in great here because his brother and sister (two pugs) sleep all the time. He has totally became part of the family and everyone just loves him! Thank you so much for such a great puppy.
Also, I was wondering if you had gotten the AKC papers. I know you said you were expecting them and would mail them to us when you got them so I just wanted to make sure you had our address.
Here are a couple pictures of Rascal (one with him and his sister Angel!).
Happy New Year!

Hey Jen,
I apologize I think when I tried to send the e-mail with pictures it got all messed up and sent it empty. Anyway, Rascal is doing fabulous. He is such a good dog. I meet so many people who are so impressed with how friendly and mellow he is because most Chihuahuas they've met are timid and some even aggressive. I am just so proud of him every time I bring him places (and I do try to take him lots of places with me). I work at a school in a classroom with kids who are between 8 and 11. I brought Rascal with me to school a couple weeks ago and I was so proud of how friendly and outgoing he was. He was a little shaky at first but then he totally warmed up to the kids and was awesome. I think I was much more stressed out having him around so many kids than he was. But, the reason I wanted to e-mail was because Rascal was supposed to get neutered today and I was freaking out a little because I was so nervous. I also asked the vet to look at his teeth because he had a few baby teeth that haven't fallen out yet. So, I brought him in this morning and the vet decided that Rascal's baby teeth couldn't be pulled yet because the adult teeth haven't grown in enough. He also thinks it's a good chance that they won't fall out and will need to be pulled (I guess pretty common in little dogs) so we decided to wait on getting him neutered so that it can all be done at once and we won't have to sedate him again in a few weeks. So, last night I was just letting you know he was going to be neutered but now it will have to wait a few weeks to a month... so I can breath easy until the next time I have to bring him in! I was also wondering if you have had any trouble with any of your chi's under anesthesia. I have pugs and know as a breed they can have some difficulty but I just wanted your opinion about Chihuahuas. The vet thinks he'll be fine and says they've done plenty of dogs smaller than him but I am still just
so nervous for him to have surgery... Anyway, I just wanted to give an update on how great Rascal is doing and let you know about the neuter and see if you had any advice.
Thanks so much for our wonderful baby!
Leslie

"Chucky"
" I just want to thank my dear friend Jennifer Wartena for such a lovely little boy, Chucky. He has grown up to be such an amazing little guy, and tiny too at just 3 1/2 lbs... He is the perfect stud and so sweet too. Jen is honest and trustworthy, just what a breeder should be. If you're looking for a chihuahua, you cant go wrong with her..... "

I agree 100%, all stereotypes are broken when they meet little Bettina
and they fall in love. I have half of an office setup for her and she
comes to work a few days a week. Everyone loves her here. She comes to
company meetings sometimes. I get up 45 minutes early everyday to play
with and feed Bettina. Brie and I take her everywhere and she loves it.
We feel super blessed. All I have to do is keep Brie patient since I
told her we could get another one. We have both been so excited.
Jen, I am a converted Chihuahua lover for life, in just 4 months.
Thanks again, talk to you soon.

Hi Jen,
I was just wanting to give you an update on R and J. I was looking at your site with Anne, the future mom to 'Rosie' and I saw that Napoleon and Diamond are having puppies again. Im so proud that my lil girls are are the model pups for them!! :)
I love my girls so much and I wanted you to know that they are extremely happy pups and boy do they love each other!! Riley is so well coordinated, she can catch one of those soft cat balls is the air at faster than lightning speed! And what a cuddle bug, she always wants to be with mama! Jimmy is hilarious, she isn't as fast as Riley but her lady like manner in which she does everything is just endearing. They are so different yet so perfect together! Here are a couple updated photos now that they are just about a year old.
Hows Sugie doing? I thought I saw that she was going to have pups, did i miss it?

Dear Jen,
I decided that I am ready to commit to getting spot! Please mark him "sold" if he is still available and I will send you the deposit.
Also, I am attaching a few photos of Nano for your website. The one with two dogs in it is Nano and Ringo, also from you! I am friends with the owner and we had the dogs play together. Nano has turned out to be a wonderful dog. Very sweet, loving, playful, cute, etc. She is not too nervous or yappy at all... in fact she is very brave, a great traveler, and a confident and happy dog.
Thanks for your wonderful work creating great puppies!
Katie

Dear Jen,
Thank you so much for raising such beautiful puppies:) Chico your "Cowboy" is such a wonderful addition to our family:) Denise and I are in love with a new breed:) He has so much energy and just loves the backyard. He gives us loving when he is tired from playing. All of our friends are in awe as they never thought a Chi could be so cute and playful:) Seems alot of people only think of them as small nervous dogs and he diffentlly is not nervous! He is so well socialized that he welcomes every new visitor with excitement and love. I know there is another Chi in our future...when he gets out of the teething and puppy stage:)) Would not give him up for the world. Thank you for Chico.

Hi Jen,
I wanted to send you an updated photo of Paris that we got from you about 2.5 years ago. She'll be 3 this coming April.
What a sweetheart she is. Everyone loves her and she loves everyone. We have two sons now. My youngest son is about to turn 5 months old. She sits with he and I as we rock in the rocking chair. She loves to get under the blankets. But my 4 year old son is her favorite. Everywhere he goes...she goes. They are the best of friends...and always have been.
Paris is such a special part of our family and we are so grateful to you for her.
Thanks again.....
Nicole Smith
She weighs about 3.5 to 4 pounds. She loves to eat!
I have friends who say they never liked Chihuahua's before that love her. She has the sweetest disposition. She likes to sleep under the covers, tucked up right beside you.
I'll send more photos soon. Sorry it has been so long!
Nicole

Hi Jen-
Just a first week update, Frank is well. He is having a blast chasing Diego everywhere and he seems to be catching on to his name. We gave him way too much freedom at first and he became quite the explorer. Just for safety and peace of mind, I set up a pen in the kitchen to keep him corralled when we are not able to pay close attention. He knows where his bed is and he is eating like a pig. So overall I think he has really adjusted quite well. His personality is coming out and he is quite mischievous, but smart! We will send a nice update with pics when he settles in a bit more, but I just thought I would let ya know that the first week has gone great and he is calling this place home now! -Kelly

Jen, I just wanted to give you an update as I just turned 1 year old! My servants give me plenty of toys, but I prefer chewies, sticks and toilet paper rolls! I also have a girlfriend "ChaCha". We play all the time and go to parks and have all sorts of adventures. We also get into all sorts of mischief. I will admit I usually start it but don't tell anyone! We're going to Placerville today. Lots of trees and grass and mischief to get into (but don't tell anyone. Remember, we are SWEET INNOCENT puppies). Hope you are doing well. Ziggy

Rupert was right on time and I was surprised at how calm he was. He is a total little fat boy, right now he is devouring some ground turkey. He is so sweet and playful, he loves to wag his tail and cuddle and he naps on his back which is really cute. Thank you so much for raising such a sweetie. I will defiantly come to you if I decide to get him a sister down the line.

Me and Maya spend all day together so she has really learnt a lot. She also plays fetch really well. That took a while to teach her but she's getting even better. We have these mini tennis balls she can get in her mouth. It's perfect.
Roll over has proven to be a difficult one too but she is so so so smart I cannot believe it. Also this week she's been sleeping with the crate open on the bed. We used to lock it bu keep her on the bed. Anyway she will need to go but wait till I wake up for a second and then run to the approprite corner of the bed so I know she needs to go potty.
It was my bfs 20 yr high school reunion last night. We left her.for 7 hours which is by far the longest I've ever left her (an hour is usually max and that's like once a week) anyway we got home and nothing. No accidents at all. I took her straight out an she had to pee and poop but waited. She's really trainable and great. She loves peopleand other dogs so so so much. We've been goig to the dog park this last week. She always wants to play with the big dogs but I keep her very close. She's building a lot of confidence. Hardly barks and gets excited to see people and other dogs. Friendliest dog ever and very single person that meets her comments on her demeanor and how sweet and loving she is. I spend a lot of time each day training her but she also came to me in great condition and smart as can be. She loved people and other dogs from the day I got her and I've just been keepig I up.Anyway please send papers. Thank you for nice comments. She is awesome. I will check back soon if we don't hear anything in the next week or so.
Thanks again. Maya is My dream dog. Btw she is currently 3.18 lbs. She's grown almost 2 pounds from when I got her. (1.65) - everyone comments on how tiny but confident she is at least for being only 3 lbs.
:)

Hi Jen,
Here's a little Snoopy update. Check him out! Isn't he a doll. Almost 5 months and just over 2 lbs. Hoping to show him next year.
Take care,
